WNWR TV: Our First Meeting will be: Monday, September 22, 2014 From 2:30 – 4:00 pm Location: WNWR Studio. If you have not signed up and still interested in joining WNWR, IT IS NOT TOO LATE!!! Please come to Monday’s Meeting!! Mr. Hayes, Advisor of WNWR TV

Newton Trophy will be here next Thursday, September 25th in the Cafe during the lunch period. A deposit of $200.00 is required. If you have any questions contact them at 973-948-0613. Please make checks payable to Newton Trophy.

NJIT Engineering Career Day – Dec. 5, 2014. Sophomore and Junior students are invited to attend NJIT Engineering Career Day to explore career options in diverse engineering fields (Civil, Biomedical, Chemical, Computing, Environmental, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) all on the same day. Lunch is included, seats are limited. Please register to attend with Mrs. Horn in the Career Center.

Do you serve your community often? Would you like to be recognized for your service? The Prudential Spirit of the Community Award was created to recognize students in middle school and high school who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. Please see Ms. Quinn if you wish to apply. Deadline is November 4, 2014.

All Juniors and Seniors: Students interested in exploring careers in nursing or allied health are invited to participate in a shadow experience at the Morristown Medical Center. Please see Mrs. Horn in the Career Center for your registration packet.

Would you like to experience Europe this summer….specifically, France, Germany, and the Alps??? The Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Lucerne, Munich are some of the places you will see. If interested, go to the counseling office for more information.

There will be a National Art Honor Society meeting (NAHS) on Wednesday Sept.24 directly after school in the art room HS26. All current members and those interested in joining, you must attend this meeting. Please see Ms.Dewey with any questions.

LOST BRACELET: “Liztech” bangle bracelet – silver and gold cuff with dark blue stone in the middle and gold tone stones on each side. If found, please see Mrs. Cappiello in the School Counseling Office for a CASH REWARD.

To all girls in the Middle School – Please see Coach DeMonte in middle school room 13 to pick up a cheerleading packet for MS basketball cheerleading. ALL paperwork needs to be signed and returned before the second week of October. Our first ‘get to know you’ meeting will be held on October 7th in MS 13 from 2:20 until 3:30.

A note on Random Drug Testing – High school students only

If you plan to  participate in athletics, extra-curricular clubs/activities, or obtain a parking permit,  you are required to comply with North Warren’s Random Drug Testing program.  If you have previously filled out a consent form you DO NOT need to fill out another.  Only one form is necessary for your entire high school career.  If you are new to the school, or if you are an incoming freshman, you will need to fill out the Student Random Drug Testing Consent form and return the form to Mrs. Blanchette in the main office.
