National Honor Society
The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) officially established NHS in 1921. Since its inception, the NHS organization quickly developed into one of the country’s leading educational groups. NHS recognizes more than just superior grades. In addition to scholarship, members demonstrate success in the areas of leadership, service, and character. Not only are members recognized for their past achievements, but are challenged to continue to develop themselves through active involvement in school and community activities.
The National Honor Society has been a part of North Warren High School since the beginning and continues to be a vital part of the school community. Any junior or senior who has achieved a cumulative grade of 92.5 or better will be invited to apply for membership. After submitting a completed application, applicants will participate in an interview with the faculty council. Accepted candidates will be notified and officially entered into NHS during the induction ceremony.
