This communication was sent to all student email accounts but I wanted to share it on the website as well.
To all students,
I hope this correspondence finds you happy and healthy! I wanted to reach out to the student body because I know many of you and your parents have questions about our return to Hybrid on January 25. Yes, we plan on returning to the building on January 25, 2021 but I wanted you to know it will look a little different than before; yet some protocols will remain the same. Here are some items for you to review.
- The on-site cohorts will remain the same. So you will either be on-site Monday, Thursday or Tuesday, Friday. Wednesday remains full virtual. This has not changed.
- You may still opt for full virtual.
- We will not be following the Academy Model but rather we will follow a 7 period, early dismissal schedule. You will move from class to class and meet with your teachers that are in your schedule.
- Teachers will be using a Simulcast system so they can teach both the students in the classroom and those at home. I have observed a few teachers piloting this and it is working very well!
Details on our exact protocols, such as attendance, health and safety, movement through the building, etc. will be sent to all parents and students next week for review. We are also presenting the schedule and protocols to parents in a forum on Monday evening. Lastly, we will send a survey to all families after our forum to determine which students plan to return to Hybrid and which are choosing to remain full virtual.
