As some of the most selective institutions of higher learning in the world, the United States Service Academies offer young people a unique opportunity to obtain a first class education and subsequently serve our country upon graduation as commissioned officers in the United States Military. One of my most important responsibilities, as your Congressman, is nominating young men and women for admission to our country’s service academies.
As you may know, the Fifth District is one of the most competitive congressional districts in the country for acceptance into the United States Military, Naval, Air Force, and Merchant Marine Academies. Although a Congressional Nomination is not required for the United States Coast Guard Academy, the application process is still competitive.
I have the honor of selecting some of the best and brightest students for nomination to these prestigious schools. If you have students who are a junior or senior in high school and would like to be considered for a nomination to a service academy, please have them complete and submit the online form on my website. The deadline to submit an application is November 5, 2021. I would appreciate it if you can share this opportunity with those who may be interested.
