Dear Parents,
Today at approximately 9:25 an electrical smell was detected in the main office area. Out of an abundance of caution, and per our safety protocols, we evacuated the building and notified the Blairstown Fire Department.
Blairstown Fire responded immediately and assessed the situation. They determined that there was no active fire threat and students returned to the building by 9:50.
We are grateful to have such dedicated volunteers serving our community and our school and thank the Blairstown Fire Department and the Blairstown Police Department for their quick response and assistance in ensuring the safety of our students.
In these types of situations we would normally send an automated phone call to all families, but the Schoolmessenger service that we contract with are experiencing technical problems at this time.
