Strategic Plan

Click Here to See the Final Strategic Plan »

North Warren Regional's Strategic Plan is designed to help our school's leaders and board members define a vision for the future and identify district goals and objectives. The process includes establishing the sequence in which those goals should be organized to reach our vision.

In summary, this multi-year plan will help us set yearly goals, or what we want for our school, and how to achieve those goals for the overall improvement of North Warren Regional.

Our strategic planning process is based on the outcome of our Portrait of a Patriot. Essentially, our Portrait was locally developed with competencies that we feel are integral for our students to succeed in the 21st century. There will be a focus on curriculum, programming, and skills our students need to succeed after NWR.

The entire strategic planning process involves the ongoing engagement of a Design Team. This team will ensure our strategic plan is informed by diverse perspectives, responsive to student needs, and inspires ownership and action. This plan will also take into account our current financial and facility challenges.

State Testing

  • State Testing Information

The New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA) are statewide assessments that assess students’ progress toward the New Jersey Student Learning Standards in English Language Arts (ELA), mathematics, and science. The New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA) consists of an ELA and a mathematics component to be administered to students in grade 11 for the purpose of meeting the state graduation assessment requirement. Each assessment is typically administered in computer-based (CBT) format, although paper-based testing (PBT) is available as an accommodation. ELA assessments will focus on close reading, synthesizing ideas within and across texts, determining the meaning of words and phrases in context, and writing effectively when using and/or analyzing sources. Mathematics assessments will focus on applying skills and concepts and understanding multi-step problems that require abstract reasoning and modeling real-world problems, precision, perseverance, and strategic use of tools. Science assessments will focus on applying scientific concepts and practices within the domains of Earth & space, life, and physical science. Students will demonstrate their acquired skills and knowledge by answering selected-response items, constructed response items and technology-enhanced questions.

We will send specific testing information to you as we near the spring administration windows. In the meantime, additional information can be found at https://nj.mypearsonsupport.com/ForParent/ and https://measinc-nj-science.com/.
